Brian Sherwood from Texas will be participating in the May 5th Pig Hunt Tournament and recently asked about what pegs are best at the lagoon. It all depends on timing, but generally, here would be my top 10 choices in order of preference:

14
16
1
7
15
2
17
10
3
13

Well, my list of best pegs was far from accurate at the May 5 event. Northernmost pegs were best with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd big 3 winners coming from pegs 2, 6, and 1. Anything south of peg 8 was pretty pitiful.

They've just started to close the Fullerton lot for late May overflow bus traffic, so I might have to fish the pipe tomorrow just to see if the fish have finally moved south a bit. We'll see.

The north end of the tournament pegs at the rowing lagoon this year has produced better than the south. With the TOKS summer tournament just starting, I'll be at pegs 1 and 2 tomorrow morning to try my luck at the lagoon.

12-13 fish at the lagoon today, but nothing over 15. Pigfest is over or they are all fished out. When I pulled in at the zoo at 5:15 this morning, there were pods everywhere near Fullerton to the concrete pad. Somebody is camping there at night, and it has become a carp fishing village. Huge.
